Samsung is executing its final solution to bring the saga of the Galaxy Note 7 to an end. The plan is to kill all of the Galaxy Note 7 devices remaining in the wild on December 19th, and all that’s required to make that happen is a simple software update. The Galaxy Note 7 was released on August 19. By September, Samsung had recalled the first batch of handsets after dozens overheated.
